SIMIEN: The Urban Electro-Pop Sister Trio Making Waves with “Utterly in Love” on Akon’s Konvict Kulture Label

Music lovers are craving authenticity more than ever! Powerhouse sister trio, SIMIEN, is providing authenticity in a fierce and fresh way. With the release of their debut single, “Utterly in Love”, under the legendary Konvict Kulture label (revived by global superstar Akon), these young women are proving that sisterhood can change the game.

Siblings Taédym, Jaiden, and Kamrein–SIMIEN isn’t your average girl group. Hailing from a rich Creole Louisiana and Native American heritage, and grounded in gospel roots, the trio blends cultural identity with genre-defying sound. They call it Urban Electro-Pop, but the truth is, SIMIEN can’t be boxed in.

“Our music style mixes alternative rock, R&B, and pop,” Jaiden says. “We don’t limit ourselves.”

Their debut track “Utterly in Love” is equal parts playful and powerful, also inspired by a real-life “girl code” moment when a guy thought he could flirt with two of the sisters without getting caught. Spoiler alert: he got caught. Instead of drama, the moment became art.

“ ‘Utterly in Love’ is about not settling for the bare minimum and knowing your worth,” the sisters say. “Respect between people and especially between sisters is everything.”

SIMIEN’s résumé reads like a masterclass in mentorship. Their artistry has been shaped by icons such as Teddy Riley, Debbie Allen, and of course, Akon himself. They’ve already been featured on Akon’s track, “Never Really Mattered”, but “Utterly in Love” marks their bold leap into the spotlight as original creators — writing, producing, and performing their own music.

“We’re extremely grateful to be part of Konvict Kulture and to work with Akon,” they share. “We’re joining his incredible legacy while building our own.”

Creating music as siblings might sound complicated, but for SIMIEN, it’s their secret weapon.

“It’s definitely a journey, but being sisters makes it easier,” says Taédym.

More than a band, SIMIEN is a movement. Their lyrics feel like pages from a collective coming-of-age diary, tackling love, identity, and empowerment with fearless honesty. Their fanbase affectionately called the SIMINATI — sees themselves reflected in every note.

“Our fans are people who want to express themselves and feel understood,” says Taédym.

When they’re not crafting tracks or performing, SIMIEN is fully immersed in all things creative. Whether it’s painting, designing clothes, acting, gaming, or even geeking out on anime, the sisters stay connected to their artistic roots.

“We’re very hands-on,” says Kamrein. “We just love creating — in all forms.”

As mentors in their own right, SIMIEN has advice for aspiring artists:

  • Kamrein: “Be unapologetically yourself. Keep your faith strong — you’ll need it.”
  • Jaiden: “Don’t let others define your vision. Just keep going.”
  • Taédym: “Your heart has to be in it. Passion and thick skin are essential.”

Their message to the SIMINATI?

“We love you guys!” they say in unison. “This is only the beginning — we can’t wait to show you what’s next!”

With “Utterly in Love” lighting up playlists and hearts, SIMIEN is ushering in a new era of fearless, female-led artistry. One that’s grounded in culture, driven by authenticity, and amplified by pure talent.
