of Atlanta professionals, advocates, elected officials, and social gatherers will assemble to pledge their generosity and ongoing support to a worthy cause at the 2019 Still Standing & Stepping Out, Purple Affair – a benefit event that celebrates survivors of Domestic Violence and honors the community leaders, supporters and advocates. Stevie Baggs Jr., is a former NFL player, actor, author, powerful inspirational speaker, and now the Official Male Ambassador of The Still Standing Alliance.

CEO & Founder of M.A.D. USA (Men Against Domestic Violence) Christan A. Rainey will be in attendance as the Excellence in Impact Award Honoree at this year’s Purple Affair.  Other confirmed Excellence Awards honorees include Surviving R. Kelly Asante McGee, Ser Famalia & Georgia Latina’s Against Domestic Violence Belisa Urbina and Surviving Mother Mechelle Virgin.Â
Guests will dance to the sounds of Core DJ Hershey with LIVE performances by American Idol’s Season 12 Finalist Kevin Harris, Billboard Charting Artist Robert Hawkins, Singer Songwriter Ray Rush and Soul Singer Al Chauncy. The Purple Affair will treat guests to light fare by Celebrity Chef Willie Wallace, special guest appearances, awards presentations and a stunning Survivor Walk in which survivors of abuse will showcase various style trends.Â
Founded by Author, Speaker, and Domestic Violence Survivor/Advocate Tamiko Lowry Pugh, this year’s event is expected to be yet another night to remember. Riding the waves of previous years vastly successful and generously sponsored Purple Affair, the 2019 edition will take place at the beautiful Marke’ Venue and hosted by the very own Executive Board of The Still Standing Alliance. Â
