Sunday Set Up: Episode 4

On Episode 4 of the Sunday Set Up, Dawn Michelle kicked off the episode with some housekeeping items and let the audience know that her show is a safe place for positivity and good vibes only.

She recapped things happening in entertainment news like the recent announcement from several celebrity couples that may be divorcing. Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill publicly announced their divorce. Both said their split was amicable. We also saw Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict announce their divorce. They have been together for years and have beautiful children together. The latest alleged divorce news was from Monique & Chris Samuels, formerly of the Real Housewives of Potomac, but Monique and Chris took to Instagram on Sunday with Chris to quiet some of the internet chatter. Let’s hope the rumors of divorce are not true. This does raise the question, is being in the public eye a recipe for disaster in a marriage? She also kept it short and sweet about Kanye West being in the news again. Allegedly the family of George Floyd is considering a lawsuit because of the things Kanye said in a recent interview on a popular podcast, Drink Champs.  We will continue to pray he finds his way.

She also spoke about R&B superstar Brandy allegedly being hospitalized. Brandy did take to her Instagram account to show her face and let her fans know she appreciates the well wishes. It was great to see her smiling and glowing.

She then introduced her special guest, Cameo LaCole’.

About Cameo LaCole’

The two chopped it up about how Cameo got into the business of background vocals, and she also provided advice for anyone trying to get into that industry. She juggled her passion for music, baking, travel planning, and being a make-up artist with her full-time corporate job, which can be a lot. She decided she needed to step back and determine which areas she really wanted to pursue and found that being a background vocalist won out. She still finds time to bake for special events but spends most of her time focusing on her vocal endeavors.

Cameo Lacole’ hails from Kansas City, Missouri. She made her journey to Atlanta; in September of 2008, and she’s never looked back. Cameo been in the arts since a very young age, and she came here to Atlanta to build on her creative talents.
