The 1st annual 2019 “Together We Rise†Women’s Empowerment Summit took place on Sunday, Sept 22nd in North Hollywood, CA was a night full of Beauty, Power, Talent, and LOVE.
SwagHer personality j Marie emceed the night using her high energy and comedic timing to keep the crowd ready for every epic portion of the talent-filled night!
This diverse event united women of all walks and successes of life. Wisdom was poured out in abundance with the panel discussion between female professionals that ranged from a Professional Female Boxing Champion to a Clinical Forensic Psychologist. The advice was given on how to defend yourself against an aggressor to how to raise a child in a world that revolves around social media.
These ladies touched on topics that tend to affect the way women see themselves and allow others to treat them because of it. The transparent testimonies gave hope that women in the building would leave there different than they came. Although the adversities each woman has overcome varied from domestic violence, homelessness, to depression. The one thing they did have in common is being a POWERFUL empowering WOMAN!
Throughout the night a chant was shouted…â€Together…WE RISE!†in unity, and you could feel the shift happening!
The stage was graced with an overflow of talent! The Divas of Compton showed that unity through dance can inspire little girls on their way to womanhood. They had the whole house with their phones out recording every second of their special appearance!
The Summit that was well-produced by triple threat Mossy founder of I am Love Ent. and Phlex Productions not only blessed the women in the building but also shared a portion of proceeds to support the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles, CA. The Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) is the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on serving and empowering women experiencing homelessness and formerly homeless women. They strive for personal stability for each woman they assist.

P.S. Events like this one can be done with whatever budget you have to work with. (Now, if we are talking 100.00 you might owe some favors lol) However, this can be a reality for you. It’s all about putting your mind to it and remembering this is about the life-long impression that will be planted into the hearts of each person who participated. You can do it!
