SwagHer Society Stories: Nurse Jackie — Redefining Wellness from the Inside Out

Jacquelyn “Nurse Jackie” Bhones is redefining what it means to heal. Known as The Transformalist, this powerhouse nurse of 21 years has turned her medical expertise into a movement that merges science, soul, and strategy. As the founder of The Alternate Path Wellness and Transformation Center and creator of the Nurse Jackie Experience, she’s on a mission to help women reclaim their energy, confidence, and wholeness from the inside out.

Nurse Jackie specializes in guiding women through perimenopause—addressing fatigue, brain fog, bloating, and weight gain—while also providing prep and recovery support for male athletes. But her impact goes far beyond physical treatments. Through her signature mobile spa and biohacking concierge service, she offers tailored solutions using supplements, peptides, natural herbals, and advanced body-recode strategies that spark real, lasting change.

Her journey from emergency nursing to holistic wellness was fueled by a simple truth: survival isn’t enough—transformation is the goal. Today, she blends clinical precision with intuitive care, empowering her clients to listen to their bodies, honor their needs, and embrace their brilliance. When you meet Nurse Jackie, you’re not just booking a service—you’re stepping into a sacred space designed to help you reset, revive, and rise.

Journey & Purpose

“After more than two decades in emergency and acute care nursing, I began to notice a pattern — we were saving lives, but not changing them. People were surviving, not thriving. I watched patients return over and over with the same preventable conditions, and I realized that traditional medicine was only addressing symptoms, not root causes. That’s what inspired The Alternate Path Wellness and Transformation Center. I wanted to create a space where healing went beyond prescriptions — where people could reset, revive, and truly transform from the inside out. My experience in the ER taught me how fragile life is; my purpose now is to teach people how powerful they can be when they take charge of their health. The Alternate Path represents more than a business — it’s a movement. It’s about merging science, spirituality, and self-care to help people find balance, longevity, and purpose. It’s where nursing meets transformation.”

“My passion for biohacking and holistic wellness came from years of watching what happens when the body is pushed past its limits — including my own. As an ER nurse, I saw firsthand how stress, poor nutrition, and burnout slowly erode health. At one point, I realized I was teaching patients about wellness while running on empty myself. That was my wake-up call. I began studying how the body heals at the cellular level — how nutrition, mindset, frequency, and recovery all influence performance and longevity. The more I learned, the more I realized that healing isn’t just medical; it’s metabolic, emotional, and spiritual. Biohacking gave me the science, and holistic wellness gave me the soul. Today, I use that fusion to help others take control of their health in ways that are sustainable, natural, and deeply transformative. My goal is simple: help people become the healthiest version of themselves — from the inside out.”

Challenge & Growth

“One of my biggest challenges was learning to trust my own vision when others couldn’t see it yet. Coming from a traditional nursing background, stepping into entrepreneurship and creating The Nurse Jackie Experience—a fusion of science, beauty, and transformation—was met with skepticism. Some people couldn’t understand how IV infusions, lymphatic therapy, and mindset coaching could belong in the same sentence. But I knew healing wasn’t one-dimensional, and neither was I. The lesson I learned was to stop waiting for validation and start walking in conviction. Building my brand taught me that transformation requires courage—the same courage I ask of my clients. Every obstacle refined my message: ‘you can’t lead people to transformation unless you’ve gone through it yourself.’ Now, when women step into the Nurse Jackie Experience, they’re not just booking a service—they’re meeting the version of themselves they didn’t know was possible.”

“That experience completely reshaped how I approach care. I no longer just ‘treat’ people—I teach them. In the ER, I was trained to save lives in crisis; now, I focus on helping people avoid the crisis altogether. I see every client as a whole being—body, mind, and soul—because true wellness can’t be achieved by addressing only one part of who we are. The struggles I faced building my brand taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of creating safe spaces for transformation. Many of my clients come to me exhausted—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I meet them where they are, not where the world expects them to be. Today, the Nurse Jackie Experience is about empowerment. It’s not a quick fix; it’s a guided journey to self-healing and self-respect. Every drip, every detox, every conversation is infused with that lesson: transformation isn’t something I do to you—it’s something I help you ignite within yourself.”

Visibility & Influence

“I stand out because I don’t just sell services—I sell transformation. Anyone can offer an IV drip or a facial, but not everyone can connect science, soul, and strategy in a way that changes how people feel about themselves. My approach is rooted in authenticity and education. I make it a point to explain the ‘why’ behind every treatment, because an informed client becomes an empowered client. As The Transformalist, I blend medical precision with intuitive care. My nursing background gives me the clinical knowledge, but my passion for transformation gives me the heart. Every client experience is curated—from the energy in the room to the follow-up after they leave. I also leverage storytelling through speaking, digital media, and education to show people that wellness isn’t about vanity—it’s about vitality. What truly sets me apart is that I live what I teach. I’m transparent about my own evolution, my faith, and the setbacks that shaped me. People connect with realness, and that’s what builds trust. I don’t chase trends; I set standards. That’s how The Transformalist became more than a title—it became a movement.”

“Visibility isn’t about ego—it’s about impact. For me, being seen means being able to reach the people who need transformation the most. Too often, women—especially women of color in healthcare—do the work but remain invisible in the conversation. I decided that silence wasn’t serving anyone. My visibility is my voice, and my voice opens doors for others to heal, learn, and rise. As a wellness entrepreneur, I’ve learned that people can’t access what they don’t know exists. The more visible I am, the more I can educate communities about preventive health, biohacking, and holistic healing. I want women to see someone who looks like them leading in a space that has often excluded us. Visibility also keeps me accountable—it reminds me that I represent possibility. Every post, every speech, every client interaction is a chance to show that transformation isn’t just a dream—it’s available, attainable, and sustainable. When I shine, others see their own light reflected. That’s the real power of being seen.”

Practical Tip

“Start by listening to your body instead of fighting it. So many women enter perimenopause or burnout mode thinking their body is betraying them — when in truth, it’s communicating. The fatigue, mood swings, bloating, or brain fog aren’t enemies; they’re signals that your body needs support, not shame. The most powerful first step is awareness. Track how you feel daily — your sleep, hydration, stress levels, and mood. From there, begin to nourish yourself intentionally: hydrate like it’s medicine, move your body with gratitude, and prioritize protein, rest, and mindfulness. You don’t have to overhaul your life overnight; transformation happens in micro-shifts, not miracles.”

“When you give your body what it needs, it begins to trust you again — and that’s when healing starts. As I always tell my clients, your body isn’t broken; it’s brilliant. Learn its language, honor its needs, and it will reward you with energy, clarity, and peace.”

Balance & Wholeness

“Balance for me isn’t about perfection—it’s about prioritizing alignment. I learned the hard way that you can’t pour from an empty cup. Early in my career, I gave everything to my patients and left nothing for myself. Now, I approach my own health like I do my clients’: intentionally, consistently, and holistically. My non-negotiables are rest, hydration, and grounding. I start my mornings in silence or prayer before touching my phone. I schedule my IV drips and lymphatic sessions the same way I schedule meetings—because my body is the business. Nutrition, movement, and frequency work are also key; I treat food and breath as fuel, not afterthoughts. More than anything, I protect my peace. I say ‘no’ more often, delegate without guilt, and surround myself with people who speak life. When your mission is to heal others, your own energy must stay calibrated. My balance comes from honoring the same truth I teach every client: transformation starts with self-respect.”

Legacy & Impact

“I want my work to remind people that healing is not a luxury — it’s a birthright. The Alternate Path Wellness and The Nurse Jackie Experience were both created to challenge how we define health, beauty, and transformation. I want every client to walk away not just looking better, but understanding themselves on a deeper level — their triggers, their stress patterns, their energy, their power. My ultimate goal is to help people reclaim agency over their bodies and their choices. I want the wellness industry to move beyond quick fixes and aesthetics into education, prevention, and true restoration. The Alternate Path represents a new model of care — one where science, compassion, and spirituality coexist. If my clients and colleagues remember anything, I want it to be this: transformation isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about returning to who you were before the world told you to shrink. That’s the legacy I want to leave — healing that outlives me.”

“I hope to inspire women to build their own stages when no one invites them onto theirs. Every legend we admire—Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Mother Teresa—carved their own path. They were called crazy and genius in the same breath, but they believed in their mission and never lost the drive to make a difference. That’s what I stand for. Through The Transformalist movement, I want women to stop waiting for validation and start walking in conviction. You never know who’s watching or who will be inspired by your story, no matter how insignificant you think it is. I want women to see that power and grace can coexist—that you can be strong, spiritual, ambitious, and soft all at once. My journey is proof that transformation doesn’t start with resources; it starts with resolve. If my story lights a fire in another woman to rise, rebuild, or reinvent herself, then my work is doing what it was created to do—ignite transformation that keeps spreading long after I’m gone.”
