Dr. LaDonna is a visionary leader, author, and empowerment coach whose faith-driven journey continues to inspire women across industries. Featured on major networks such as NBC, FOX, and ABC, Dr. LaDonna uses her voice to empower women to embrace resilience, authenticity, and leadership in every area of life.

Journey & Purpose

My journey as an author, leader, and coach began with a calling rather than a career plan. As a teenager, I had a powerful encounter with God that revealed to me my words would one day heal and empower others. Writing became my first outlet—my way of pouring encouragement, hope, and faith into the lives of people I might never meet in person.

Over time, the impact of my books opened doors for speaking and coaching. People didn’t just want to read my words; they wanted to walk through transformation with me. That’s when I realized my purpose was bigger than the pages of a book.

Founding Planting Positive Seeds and stepping into leadership roles felt like a natural extension of that mission. Every conference, mentoring session, or podcast episode is my way of planting seeds of healing, restoration, and confidence.

I didn’t “decide” my purpose—I discovered it through service, prayer, and responding to the needs around me. My life’s work is to empower others to discover their own champion inside and take bold steps into their God-given greatness.

Challenge & Growth

One of the major challenges I faced in my career was learning how to navigate seasons of doubt and setbacks while still pursuing my calling. Early on, there were times when doors didn’t open as quickly as I hoped, or resources seemed limited. As a woman in leadership and business, it can feel discouraging when your vision is bigger than your circumstances.

But that challenge taught me one of the most powerful lessons: resilience and consistency are your superpowers. Every “no” prepared me for the right “yes.” Every obstacle became an opportunity to grow stronger, sharper, and more focused.

What I share with other women in business is this: don’t let challenges define you; let them refine you. Stay consistent in your work, trust the timing, and keep showing up. The very thing that feels like it’s holding you back might be shaping you into the leader you’re called to be.

Visibility & Influence

Being featured on networks like NBC, FOX, and ABC didn’t happen overnight—it came from being intentional about building visibility. A few key strategies helped me get seen, heard, and recognized, and they’re things other women can apply as well:

Clarity of Message – I made sure my story, mission, and message were consistent across every platform. When people know exactly who you are and what you stand for, it makes it easier for media and organizations to highlight your work.

Leverage Every Platform – I used my books, podcast, nonprofit work, and speaking opportunities as platforms to share my expertise. Each became a stepping stone that amplified the others.

Build Authentic Relationships – Networking isn’t just about exchanging cards—it’s about genuinely connecting with people. Many of my media features came through referrals and relationships that were nurtured over time.

Practical Tip

One actionable piece of advice I’d give is this: start showing up consistently with your message—even if you feel your audience is small. Post, speak, write, and share your expertise regularly. Consistency builds credibility, and credibility attracts opportunities.

Balance & Wholeness

Balance for me comes through intentional boundaries and self-care rooted in faith. I wear many hats—author, leader, coach, mom, and nonprofit founder—so I had to learn early on that I can’t pour from an empty cup.

I prioritize prayer and quiet time with God because it centers me and reminds me of my “why.” I also set aside time for rest, family, and activities that refuel me. I’ve learned to give myself permission to pause, delegate when possible, and celebrate progress instead of perfection.

The key is this: self-care is not selfish; it’s stewardship. When I care for myself—spiritually, mentally, and physically—I can show up stronger for the people I serve and the mission I carry.

Legacy & Impact

My hope is that my work plants lasting seeds of empowerment, healing, and faith. I want women to know that their voice matters, their story has power, and they have the strength to overcome any obstacle.

Through my books, coaching, nonprofit, and speaking, I pray my impact is a legacy of transformation—helping others discover their champion inside and walk boldly in their God-given purpose.

Ultimately, I want my life’s work to remind people that no matter where they start, they can rise, rebuild, and thrive—and in doing so, inspire the next generation to do the same.
