SwagHer Spotlight: Mother Angelique

Precious Jewels Moms Ministries spiritual covering is Faith Ministries Alliance (FMA). FMA was founded as an organization for churches and ministries dedicated to promoting ministry excellence and equipping leaders to fulfill their God-given vision.

Mother Angelique is a registered nurse and an international board-certified lactation consultant. She is a teacher, speaker, and minister on breastfeeding and natural childbirth. She teaches a faith-based breastfeeding class and leads a faith-based breastfeeding support group called “Precious Jewels Nursing Mothers Club ™.” The vision for this breastfeeding support group is “Nursing Mothers Raising Children with Generational Impact ™.”  

 

AllisonJanel: How would you describe your SwagHer? What makes Mother Angelique, Mother Angelique? 

Mother Angelique: My SwagHer is a double revelation, “Mom, Nurse, and Minister.” I guess that makes it a triple revelation! Naturally, Mother Angelique is the wise mother of two mighty men of God whom she breastfeed successfully. However, dimensionally she operates “Doing the Office of a Midwife” (Exodus 1:16) to the women in the Kingdom of God who desire to become Christ-embedded wives and mothers during their season of Childbirth and Breastfeeding. 

AllisonJanel: How has religion played a part in your journey?

Mother Angelique: My faith in God, following the leading of the Holy Spirit and understanding Christian principles are the primary reasons I am “Mother Angelique/Doing the Office of the Midwife to the Kingdom of God” on earth. Other than that, I would be a natural woman, and you would not receive anything different than you get from the world. 

AllisonJanel: Can you please tell our readers more about your Moms Ministry Training and Childbirth Support program Christian Childbirth Support program. How can they sign up for it?

Mother Angelique: As a mastered prepared registered nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and Certified Childbirth Educator, I provided faith-based childbirth classes such as breastfeeding. Mothers in my class receive the same natural breastfeeding/childbirth knowledge they would receive at a hospital. However, because the mothers I speak to live by faith in God’s word, I share biblical concepts to assist with the journey of mothering through breastfeeding. 

I lead a faith-based breastfeeding support group called “Precious Jewels Nursing Mothers’ Club.” Women who have successfully breastfed and discern a spiritually calling to mentor other women who are pregnant and breastfeeding, according to Titus 2:3-5, can receive natural and spiritual training and mentorship by my “Moms Ministry” training.

AllisonJanel: Tell us more about your personal walk and growth and what has led to your success.

Mother Angelique: Personally, I have always had a heart for family. That heart for family extended into my career and ultimately birthed into the mom’s ministry. I knew 28 years ago after finishing nursing school, birthing babies would be my nursing career. I became passionate about supporting other mothers to breastfeed due to my personal and joyous breastfeeding journey. In 1995 I was one of few African American pioneers in the Lactation Consultant profession. During these last seven years, I have worked as a Mother-Baby Nurse and Childbirth Educator for a large hospital that does about 12,000 deliveries a year. It has been about twelve years since I heard the Holy Spirit tell me while attending a local church that had a nursing mother’s room “your passion for breastfeeding mothers is ministry” Hence came forth “Precious Jewels Moms Ministries.”

AllisonJanel: What is the mission and vision of your organization? 

Mother Angelique: Precious Jewels Moms Ministries’ mission is to globally equip, empower, exhort women through teaching, preaching, and training on biblical principles to become Christ embodied wives and mothers. Titus 2:3-5

AllisonJanel: How do you practice self-care?

Mother Angelique: I practice self-care by taking walks alone and watching my favorite TV show, “Call the Midwife”. I love the smell of nature like woods and trees.

AllisonJanel: What has been your greatest accomplishment in your life?

Mother Angelique: I have to say my greatest accomplishment in life is God choosing me to birth two great mighty men of God into this earth.

AllisonJanel: Do you have any upcoming events or projects that you care to share?

Mother Angelique: August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month we will be launching our virtual faith-based breastfeeding and childbirth class this month. Precious Jewels Moms Ministries is a member of the United States Breastfeeding Committee. We would like to have a national presence within this organization. Therefore, we are looking for women all over the United States who would like to lead a faith-based breastfeeding support group utilizing our brand and model “Precious Jewels Nursing Mothers Club.”

AllisonJanel: Is there anything additional that you would like our readers to know?

Mother Angelique: My class is a quality, top-notch, expert class where women and their husbands will receive the same quality breastfeeding and childbirth education that would be received at a local hospital.
