She desires to continue to travel the world for ministry and pleasure; to finish her course and keep the faith.
For this reason, we will address Apostle Green as Princess Affiba throughout this interview. Get more familiar with this change agent below.Â
Fancy: How would you describe your swagher? What makes Princess Affiba, Princess Affiba?
Princess Affiba: My swagher is that of the dominator. I have reached a plateau in life where I am no longer sitting in the background waiting for life to happen. I am discovering my sphere and leaving my mark. What makes me, me is that I am authentic.
Fancy: From your background, like your time in the marines, as well as your current work, you appear to live life on purpose. Do you agree or disagree, and if so agreed, how did that come about? Was it a conscious decision?
Princess Affiba: I definitely agree that I live my life on purpose. The moment that I discovered my purpose for being; to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and take dominion (Genesis 1:28), God’s plans for my life (Jeremiah 29:11) and that I should number my days (Psalm 90:12), I began taking the reigns and running my course. Every day is intentional because we do not always get do-overs. It dawned on me one day that in life we count up (as in our age) which gives us the mindset that we have all the time in the world when we should be actually counting down or at least think with the mindset that I have one less day to get things done. This was my solution to wasting time.
Fancy: Are all of your programs and organizations (Selah Ministries Inc., Prototype Instruccione Acadame, Another World Mission Team, and Here 4 U) still active?
Princess Affiba: Yes, each of my visions is active. Some require less time to implement than others which allows me to spend the quality time that I need on each without neglecting the other. Additionally, I have teams that assist.
Fancy: How do you juggle so many hats?
Princess Affiba: I am one of the few who is multi-gifted. I believe that everything I am accomplishing in life is an assignment from the Lord, so, when I believe that He has added something to my plate, I consider that a priority and begin adjusting other things in my life so that I can complete my newest assignment. Sometimes that requires delegating authority, rescheduling fun days, eliminating something off of my calendar or saying no when others have a plan for me.
Fancy: Now your latest creation is Dominion Fragrance and Souffle’. Can you tell us more about that?
Princess Affiba: Creating my own fragrance was a vision that I had as a teenager. A few years ago on my birthday I felt led to research companies that would allow me to design my own fragrance and manufacture it for me. I came across one company that could meet my needs. I sat at that computer and put together fragrances that were already in my mind and sent my request to the company. The company blended them together and sent me a sample that was simply perfect the first time around. Since that time, I have also created a companion fragrance for men that I call, He Rules.
Fancy: What was the inspiration behind this project?
Princess Affiba: I have never liked strong perfumes and colognes and wanted a fragrance that was tailor-made for me. After joining the military I became asthmatic, so overbearing scents trigger asthmatic flare-ups for me. The fragrance, contrary to many other perfumes and colognes that I have encountered, has ingredients that promote healing and well-being.
Fancy: What is one obstacle you overcame, be it professional or personal, to achieve your success and how did you do so?
Princess Affiba: One obstacle that I overcame to achieve my success was to stop waiting for people to help me with what I could do myself. I heard so many teachings on getting a coach and received so many invites to register for wealth building seminars and new business ventures. While they have a place in our lives and growth, many of those avenues left me unfulfilled and less wealthy. The trainers got their payments, the classes were over and I was left in a state no better than I was before those opportunities came along. I narrowed down what I truly knew was my purpose and my passion. It had to be something that brought fulfillment without a paycheck. I then buckled down to educate myself and implement my training. I certainly gleaned from others but did not totally pattern myself after them as I was unique. After producing my visions in stages, I began announcing to the public what I was doing and those who saw an interest gravitated to it. I realize that I am not here for everybody but I am here for somebody.
Fancy: How do you practice self-care?
Princess Affiba: Some days my schedule can get hectic such as when I am in school or on the mission field, and I am unable to practice self-care, but once those moments are over, I take a full day or two and not answer any calls, get a massage at the spa, workout at the gym, read, watch movies and take long drives. I schedule and keep wellness appointments with my doctors and eat healthier meals. I spend quality time in self-examination, prayer, venting, and receiving wise counsel when needed.
Fancy: Do you have any projects or events that you care to share?
Princess Affiba: Yes, I have a women’s retreat coming up June 10-14, 2020, at Eden Resorts & Suites in Lancaster, PA. The theme is, This Is It! Women are coming from all across the country. Additionally, I am preparing to train another team for the mission field to Africa and India in 2020 and 2021. 12-17-year-olds are welcome to train and travel with us. I have created a new shoe that I call, Easy. It is a flat shoe for women on the go and women moving slow. Finally, later this year I will be announcing a new book that I will be co-authoring.
