Fancy: How would you describe your swagher? What makes Racquel, Racquel?
Racquel: I am a God-fearing ambitious woman walking in her purpose and thankful to be able to share my gift with the world. My love for helping to motivate others to reach their full potential when it comes to their career comes easy to me. For years I have helped people with writing resumes and pursuing their purpose which made sense when I decided to turn those passions into a business.
I have created several workshops with career processes such as WOW the Interview, Career Me Now Bootcamp, Career Talk, Transform My Resume, and others.
I know it may sound cliché, but the passion I have for helping others achieve their ultimate career goal is indescribable. I knew this was my purpose in life some time ago because even when I tried to stop there was so much out there pushing me to keep going. I came to the conclusion that whatever I do in life needed to be on a level that was bigger than me so that I could help as many people excel. I get happy when I see others achieving!
Originally from Alabama, I am a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a graduate of Liberty University with a Master’s degree in Human Services with a minor in Business. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. at Liberty University.
One fun fact about me is I performed in the Dreamgirls production here in North Carolina in September 2018.

Fancy: What was the inspiration behind your business?
Racquel: The inspiration behind my business started with my passion for writing resumes. My nature has always been about helping others especially when it came to “what do you want to be when you grow upâ€. My mission was to create a company that alleviated the stressors that come with the career search to make it a more enjoyable experience.
Fancy: How would you describe your ideal clients?
Racquel: My ideal clients are those that are ready to go after the career they really want, ready to receive a salary above the national average, do not enjoy the career preparation processes, feel they have been overlooked for promotions, need talents that truly match their company needs, and who are ready to invest in themselves fully for their ultimate career goal.
Fancy: Why are you so passionate about helping others?
Racquel: It is a joy for me to know that my purpose in life is helping to elevate others in their lives. I believe that I am part of something greater than myself and that is why I will continue helping others with the skills I have acquired.
Fancy: Please share a little about your recently released book, “The Mental Cost of Entrepreneurshipâ€.
Racquel: “The Mental Cost of Entrepreneurship†is a collaborative book about the entrepreneurial journey. In my chapter titled “Higher Leaps,†I discuss the start of this journey, the good and the not so good days, self-care, and so much more. This book will inspire, push, and enlighten others who are also wanting to pursue or continue their journey as an entrepreneur.
Fancy: At what point did you decide to write it?
Racquel: I truly believe this book has always been inside of me. When I sat down to actually write it, it was easy for me because I knew exactly the direction I was to go in. However, I had planned to write this book two years after it was released, but it was released before that. God had another plan and I am grateful that I was able to share my journey with the world to help others.
Fancy: What book(s) are you currently reading?
Racquel: Currently I am re-reading the “48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene.
Fancy: Do you have any upcoming projects or events that you care to share?
Racquel: We have upcoming workshops throughout 2020 teaching on how to write resumes, interview skill-building, and collaborations with other companies about the job market and career processes.
