Over the weekend, Arnya and I celebrated Juneteenth at the 100 Black Entrepreneurs event hosted by Business Lounge Dallas and had a good time.
The networking function was packed with Black entrepreneurs, small business owners, and creatives with vendors and activities to keep attendees entertained. We met some awesome people as we socialized and prepared for our sit-down with the owner and organizer, Ro Simmons, who is to appear on Theories & Thoughts Deep Dive (our talk show).
The event served as a fundraiser for the expansion of the Business Lounge Dallas.
According to Simmons, the event venue will grow from 900 sq ft to 2,500 sq ft once done, but the money raised is for the staff that she intends to hire from within the local community.
Business Lounge Dallas helps new and growing businesses stay in business through their local entrepreneur-led workshops, onsite business help, and coworking business lounge.
