I listen to Clubhouse quite often. I won’t say I listen to it every day or I’m an avid listener because I’m not on there that much. However, the one thing I have noticed, so far from listening on Clubhouse is people get on and ask the same question which is usually, how can they grow their business and they get the same responses. It’s normally one of these things.
Creativity, meaning get creative with your business, try something new, create something, add something new to your inventory, or services or revamp something, spotlight a product. Maybe you’re going to rebrand or relaunch, or do a collaboration or cross-promotion with another brand. But those are some things that you can do that are creative. I’m not saying to reinvent the wheel, but you could try out these things. Then make them exciting.Â
By make them exciting, we mean, make them things make it interesting. No one else is going to make your project sound as exciting as you should be able to do. That’s because this is your baby. You made it; you wrote it. You created it! Whatever it was that you had to do, you did it, and so you should be excited because you have not only conceptualized something, but you’ve brought it to fruition. And with that being said, make it exciting!
Some examples of making it exciting are writing a press release about it. doing interviews and sharing about it with others. You know, don’t just share about it on your social media. But I also see other press for making it exciting. Make it press-worthy, add a notable name or a different concept, or maybe in our hearts of hearts, we know it’s not the most exciting thing because it has been done before, but you could still be excited about it.Â
Because again, it’s your baby, and you want others to be excited about it, and others are going to feed off your energy. And if you hadn’t noticed, it’s something that we say all the time, people buy into you before they buy into your product or service. So people have to first bite into you, and then they can move on to something else. But they’re gonna feed off for your energy. So if you’re not excited about it, they’re not going to be as excited about it.
Those are just a few ways how to get creative. Of course, there’s so much more to creativity but those are some ways that I’m most familiar with. But look at your industry, you know, check your line and see what you can do that fits you and your brand and tailor it to make certain that it aligns with whatever it is your goal is.
And then there’s also the second “C†that I often notice given as advice on Clubhouse. That “C†is collaboration.
We just mentioned collaborating with others while getting creative, but collaboration rules the nation, you know, we’re stronger together than we are separated or apart. So when you look at it that way, when you’re collaborating with others, sometimes the return isn’t immediate.Â
It’s not always monetary, but the cool thing I think about collaboration is, sometimes you see the return later on. So that kind of goes back to what I was mentioning before. People first can see you when you collaborate with other brands. You’re pulling from each other’s audience, because they’re gonna pull from yours, and you’re gonna pull from their audience. You are sharing audiences. So you’re bound to at least have at least one person, this kind of notice your brand, and they might not immediately become a customer or client. Because as I just mentioned, people have the buy into you, they may just be checking you out and preparing for those who say, it can’t be a big sale, or it might be a small sale, or they might be, you know, turn into a loyal customer, or they could end up being a one time customer, but at least you now have this new supporter. That’s the beauty of collaborations. And, again, you may not see that until later on but it is beneficial.Â
I’ve met people in the past, and it’s like, “Oh, I remembered you from this event, or I connected with you for so and so so and so and you didn’t even realize what other time that person has been following you to make sure you’re legit.
That kind of brings me to a “C†that is not mentioned, but that someone brought to my attention and character. People want to know if you’re credible. Throughout that time of them following you, they’re building up their trust for you.Â
And so in order to gain their trust, that brings us to the next “C†consistency. Consistency is to show up repeatedly or to do something repeatedly, but in this instance is to show up repeatedly. As a business you know, don’t give exceptional service one day then give horrible service the next day, or don’t say you’re gonna do something and then not do it. Your consistency is what builds up your credibility.
Creativity, collaboration, and consistency are the three “C’s†you need to practice to grow your brand. It takes time with each one but I assure you they are worth it.Â
