The Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF) in partnership with the City of New Orleans and the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) will host a live stream press event tomorrow, June 9, at 11 a.m. in front of the planter box at the Treme Recreation Community Center, to announce the launch of its new flood prevention public awareness campaign. The campaign will educate New Orleans residents on flood risk, small and large scale urban water management efforts taking place across the City and provide solutions that homeowners and renters can implement on their property to slow the flow of rainwater. The integrated campaign seeks to partner with residents on mitigating flood risks in local neighborhoods through a forum of shared ideas, tools and resources.
