While I’ve always enjoyed Trevor Noah’s take on the news and Trump, last night’s episode brilliantly displayed the significant role, comedians and late-night talk show host play.
“…Hold on, the president of the country, almost never pays taxes and when he does, he only pays $750. Yo, that sh*t pisses me off because Trump is always out there like, “We’re building back our military.†Noah continued, “We-no motherfxcker! We are building back the military! You didn’t pay for sh*t. If you don’t chip in you don’t get to put your name on the card.â€
The Daily Show’s host’s ability to point out of all Trump’s wrongdoings and illegal activities, while joking about the MAGA ruler’s debt and painting pictures of comparisons easy enough for a child to distinguish is brilliant.
“Trump doesn’t want to be president. He just really needs that Secret Service protection,†Noah says.
Everything makes sense now.
Ironically, when I’ve talked to others who supported Trump in the past, they spoke of him being a great businessman and how he was worthy of respect based on this alone. Now, we discover he’s $400 million in debt. I wonder what those supporters think now?
