Patrice: What is your Swagher? What makes True, True?

True: I feel my ability to just be me, no matter what I wear, where I am, who I’m with I am always true to myself.

Patrice: How did you know that you wanted to have a career in music?

True: I would have to say when I first performed for a national artist. To have people singing my songs and knowing every word is a true dream of mine.

Patrice: You are also a musician as well. What instruments do you know how play? Favorite ones?

True: I play seven instruments. I play the guitar, drums, flute, violin, trumpet trombone, piano, and I have to say my favorite is the trumpet because it’s the one thing that I’m actually classically trained on.  Everything else is self -taught.

Patrice: What has performing at lounges, community events and other local places has taught you as far as experience wise?

True: It has taught me that no matter what I do where I go, give every person an experience. Everyone deserves that. I don’t care if it’s five people or 500,000, they will get the same experience with me.

Patrice: Do you write your own music as well? If so, what is your creativity style like?

True: I definitely write my own music. My creative style is experience and emotion. I go off of events that happened in my life.

Patrice: You also opened up for national acts such as Jeremih, August Alsina, and Mario. What was that like for you?

True: It was amazing, nerve wrecking, anxious and, happiness all rolled in a ball. Lol it was an amazing experience.

Patrice: Have you faced any challenges in your music career thus far?

True: Honestly, the biggest challenge was finding a team that believes in me the way I do. I am blessed I not have a team that believes in me, but management as well. I have never been happier.

Patrice: What are some of your favorite artists, dead or alive?

True: Michael Jackson, Janet, Aaliyah, Whitney, Prince, HER, Jasmyn Sullivan, Toni Braxton, Teena Marie, and Chaka Khan.

Patrice: Your latest single ‘WTFYM’ is a banger! Could you tell us the inspiration behind the title and the song itself?

True: It was a past relationship. I had to get over and realize my worth. In the mist of getting it off my chest, this song was made. I learned not to settle for anything.

Patrice: Do you feel that the new era of music has changed?

True: I honestly feel as though music is in constant rotation. Music always comes full circle. So it is starting to change back.

Patrice: What do you want your fans and listeners to take away when listening to your music?

True: To always be honest with yourself; The truth will set you free.

Patrice: Do you have anything new that you are working on for the remainder of the year?

True: Why yes! My EP, tours, shows, TV shows and hopefully movies.
