Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell is deeply saddened and affected by the killing of Breonna Taylor. Mitchell has spent two years playing for the University of Louisville. At the NBA Bubble games, Mitchell wore a jersey that said “Say Her Name” In his tweet on Twitter, Mitchell stated that he would be “praying for the city of Louisville” Somebody announced on Wednesday that nobody would charge the officers with homicide. On Thursday, he sent another tweet apologizing to Taylor for the justice system, failing to hold anyone accountable for her death. The message ends with Mitchell’s apology to Taylor. In the statement, Mitchell talked about having friends and family who are police officers, and he understands “there are good cops in our country.”
