Wednesday Wonder Woman: Briana Carey

Her name is Briana Carey, and she’s a beauty fashionista that was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She considers herself funny, outgoing, smart, with a beautiful mind and soul. Briana works and studies Early Childhood Education; she has been in this field for a couple of years. 

Her experience in working retail led her to want to explore what she calls her entrepreneurial destiny. At first, she was scared to step outside the box, yet with her will and faith. She had come to a point in life of making her dream a reality. This time Briana was doing what her heart wanted to do. She proceeded to own and open her beauty supply boutique.

As a teenager, Briana was always all about beauty. She always walked through a crowd and made a great impression. She was infamous for being glamourous. Yet, in order to make her dream a success, she had to focus. She began to create her brand based on her own taste and touches to the products. Through her great ideas and accessories, Briana built her brand to be better than her competitors.

N’Style Beauty is a brand that you want to know about, buy, and rock out with! Briana launched her brand on May 30, 2020. She attributes her boutique’s success to her 11-year-old daughter, Mariah, who she immensely loves and adores. She is very excited about her boutique’s growth in such a short period of time, especially at the height of the pandemic. 

Carey’s long term goal is to make N’ Style Beauty bigger and better. She can foresee her business being worldwide. Briana always tells herself to stay focused on the greater good of GOD. She removes herself from negativity as she doesn’t plan to ever give up. 

 

AllisonJanel: How would you describe your SwagHer? What makes Briana? Briana?

Briana: My personality is unique, although I’m sweet but feisty. Whatever I put my mind to, I do it. I’m very lovable, and I love to laugh. Additionally, I’m very outspoken and a great mother. I would describe myself as a black beauty Queen.

AllisonJanel: What changed in your life that made you want to explore the likes of entrepreneurship?

Briana: Four things : my mother, my grandfather, a special friend, and this pandemic.

AllisonJanel: If you could describe your brand in one sentence, what would it be?

Briana: Different and a touch and taste of Bri.

AllisonJanel: What concepts have you been working on to make your brand bigger and better?

Briana: Everyone sells lashes so I had to think outside the box and think every day what can I bring to my brand to make my brand pop

AllisonJanel: Who is your target audience? 

Briana: All age groups. I have different products for different age groups, and my business is steadily growing.

AllisonJanel: How do you balance your time between family, school, and business?

Briana: I balance my time through adapting to a set schedule. Even if I have to stop and tend to my personal life, Although my days can sometimes be long, it’s definitely worth it.

AllisonJanel: What products do you offer on your site.

Briana: N’Style Beauty offers lashes, lash tools, hair accessories, lip gloss, perfume bottles, and much more. New items will be coming soon. 

AllisonJanel: At what age did you discover how much you loved Beauty and Fashion?

Briana: I’ve always loved fashion. I was just afraid to step out and become the boss that I was meant to be. However, while dealing with this pandemic, my mindset took a shift in perspective. I thought to myself, hey, why not. This is the perfect time to launch my business, get my name face, and brand out there.

AllisonJanel: How do you balance family life and business?

Briana: Easy, I work and spend time with my family. Every adventure I go on, I take my daughter along with me. She’s my motivation, and I’m her cheerleader. I just want to expose her to all of the greater things possible. When you’re all about family, you make time. Family should always come first.

AllisonJanel: What’s the secret to your success?

Briana: I would say my secret is to never give up. Keep pushing to move forward. Attaining success is a process. You will have good and bad days. When I have rough days, I take time to talk to GOD.  

AllisonJanel: Can you tell our readers something about you that you haven’t covered already?

Briana: Hhmm, I would say, wow,  I can’t believe I made it this far! You live, and you learn, I can tell you that I am blessed. 

AllisonJanel: What can our readers expect from you in the near future?

Briana: You can expect to see N’Style Beauty becoming a big brand. Briana as a strong black, independently owned entrepreneur.
