Fancy: How would you describe your swagher? What makes Dr. Bradley, Dr. Bradley?
Dr. Bradley: I am genuine, down-to-earth, honest, and non-judgmental.
Fancy: Youââ¬â¢ve stated that your struggle with your fitness goals inspired you to switch to a plant-based diet, but what exactly was the issue? How were you falling short?
Dr. Bradley: Many years after leaving the military, I found myself on a battlefield totally unrelated to the Air Force and like others, I, too, had fallen victim to obesity. Over the course of time, I painfully witnessed my size and weight increase from a size 10 to a size 18. No longer weighing 160lbs, but tipping the scale at 236lbs. In addition, I suffered with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, depression and was pre-diabetic. I increased my gym visits from 3 days a week to 5 days, twice a day. I would go to the gym in the morning before work and in the evening after work. Despite my efforts, I could not get the weight off and keep it off. I joined multiple weight loss centers and tried many products. Still, I was losing the battle!
One day, I decided to do something totally out of the norm. During Lent, I gave up meat and meat by products (eggs, milk, and cheese) for 40 days. After the 40 days, I had lost 33 pounds and that was the beginning of my plant-based journey!
Fancy: At what point, did you decide to become a health coach? ÃÂ
Dr. Bradley: After adopting a plant-based lifestyle, I was taken off my medications within 3 months and I lost over 60lbs within 10 months. There was no way I would go back to the Standard American Diet (SAD). But I couldnââ¬â¢t rest knowing there were others in need of help and this was when I decided to go back to school to become a certified health coach.
Fancy: You received a certification for coaching. Can you tell us more about that?
Dr. Bradley: Yes, I attended and received training from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and received my certification from the International Association of Health Coaches (IAHC).
Fancy: Please share a little with us about the 21-Day Vegan Challenge?
Dr. Bradley: In 2016, I developed a program called ââ¬ÅThe 21-Day Vegan Challenge.ââ¬Â This challenge is a plant-based program that has been designed for anyone desiring to make a lifestyle change or to explore and experience the healthy benefits of a vegan diet. I host this challenge monthly. I have received many testimonies from those that went through the challenge and today, many of them are living a much healthier lifestyle.
Fancy: What services do you offer as a coach?
Dr. Bradley: I offer the following services:
- The 21-Day Vegan Challenge
- Customized meal plans
- 3 Month 1-on-1 program
- Cooking Classes
- Aroma Touch Massage Technique using Essential Oils
- Public Speaking
Fancy: Last year you participated at a TEDX Talk, where you shared your ââ¬ÅNo Prescription Necessaryââ¬Â presentation. What was that like?
Dr. Bradley: It was an amazing experience. The atmosphere and energy was off the chart. When the executive producer first contacted me, I was totally caught off guard and in shock.ÃÂ It was a dream come true. Since that talk, which is on YouTube, I have received many emails.

Fancy: What has been the biggest challenge for you to overcome as a health coach?
Dr. Bradley: The biggest challenge for me was to truly understand and to come to the realization that no matter how much proof is available there will be those that you just canââ¬â¢t convince.
Fancy: For those considering a vegan lifestyle or struggling to maintain one, what advice would you give them?
Dr. Bradley: I would ask that they contact me and to research. When I first adopted this lifestyle, I had no clue and felt really lost at times. There was no one that I could really talk to. I would hate for that to happen to others. For those that are struggling, my advice is to not give up and to remember that Rome was built in a day. Take it slow.
Fancy: Do you have any upcoming events or projects that you care to share?
Dr. Bradley:
- Each month I host a ââ¬ÅFREEââ¬Â conference call in which I discuss and answer questions about understanding this lifestyle. You can find these classes on Eventbrite, listed as Vegan 101 Class
- Every month I offer and host The 21-Day Vegan Challenge
