This Wonder Woman says her inspiration for everything she does is her mom and her children. “They mean the world to me! I strive every day to make our lives better and to offer my children opportunities that was not given to me as a child. “
However the Indie Broadcast Network team consists of more than just Kesha. The Chief Operations Officer, Jonathan Walters has been a fixture in the Atlanta entertainment industry for over 20 years through his music as a recording artist and as the owner of Sinolife Media. The Chief Financial Officer is Raphael Wilks of Toronto, Canada. Raphael is a CPA and majored in Finance and Economics.
Fancy: How would you describe your swagher? What makes Kesha, Kesha?
Kesha: I developed my swagher as a grew into my womanhood. I am literally, “Crazy, Sexy, & Coolâ€. I have a caring heart and a smart mouth. What you see is what you get. I am a go-getter. I’m a single mother, a veteran, a college graduate, and a business woman. Each role has prepared me for some of life’s toughest obstacles. With the grace of God, I have persevered and prospered. I am versatile and can adapt to any situation or circumstance to emerge on top.
Fancy: What inspired the Indie Broadcast Network?
Kesha: For years I witnessed friends and colleagues struggle to bring their music and films to main stream media outlets. I wanted to provide a platform to showcase independent content. I am not a filmmaker or a recording artist, but I know business, and I saw an opportunity of a lifetime.
Fancy: While we understand it is all independently produced content, is there a certain type of content or genre?
Kesha: We are open to all genres of music and movies. Indie Broadcast Network accepts music videos, short films, web series, and movies.
Fancy: How would you describe the ideal viewer or subscriber of the Indie Broadcast Network?
Kesha: Our ideal viewers are 18 – 45 years old who enjoy music and entertainment. Our content can be viewed both nationally and internationally. Indie Broadcast Network can be viewed on our website, Roku TV, Fire TV, and Apple TV applications.
Fancy: Will the content be on demand, like viewers can watch whenever they choose to do so, or will it be more like scheduled content that can only be viewed at certain times?
Kesha: The majority of our content will be available on demand. We are in production for several IBN original series produced by our staff. We will also have live streamed events that will be available via our website and Facebook page. Plus we will also be launching our local access channel in the Atlanta area later this year.
Fancy: Are there any skills or traits that you acquired while managing that you would say benefit you now in your CEO position with Indie?
Kesha: I’ve learned how to make the human capital paradigm work for me by virtue of working with various individuals in my call center leadership experience. As CEO,  I’ve learned how to effectively and efficiently delegate work, set deadlines, gain real-time feedback and most importantly how to communicate effectively. Working with my COO and CFO, I’ve been able to form formidable relationships of trust and confidence while leading the company remotely.
Fancy: So what does a typical workday look like for you?
Kesha: A typical day for me consists of my handling administrative tasks for Indie Broadcast Network, overseeing production teams, account managers, coding and web design, and creating training materials for Indie Broadcast Network.
Fancy: How do you balance life and work?
