Wednesday Wonder Woman: Saretta Brooks

Saretta Brooks, founder of Crème Experience is a wife of 24 years, mother, entrepreneur, and writer.

Crème Experience is an innovative yet sexy way to evoke positive energy into any relationship. Their goal is to help couples spice up their lovemaking and to promote healthy sexual experiences through lovemaking activities. Crème Experience designs sensual greeting cards with bold, colorful graphics and provides a host of dating concierge services. The company’s belief is that everyone should experience love. So they help guide and encourage couples to take the time to love one another. Meet the woman behind the brand below.

Fancy: How would you describe your swagher? What makes Saretta, Saretta?

Saretta: I am an empowered woman who has empowered women all my career, even before women empowerment became a tag line for so many. Let me explain… Throughout my corporate career, I have consistently uplifted, guided, and provided coaching to women to enhance their careers. Early in life, I felt bothered by this because although I’ve always been a helping hand to others, most of the time it was not reciprocated. I’ve struggled with this. The feeling of wondering whether I was being used, whether I was helping too much- especially when it was not appreciated. So, I had a discussion with God and finally came to grips with this is simply who I am. I am a woman who empowers others even when I don’t want to. It is my work to do whether others appreciate me for it or not. This not only describes my swagher but truly represents my gift from God.

Fancy: So how was Crème Experience birthed? What inspired it?

Saretta: Crème Experience was inspired by my husband. You see, I’ve been married for 24 years to a man who is not only loving but supportive in every manner. In my attempt to show my hubby love, I used to create sexy love messages on stickies and place them around the house, in his coat pockets, etc. Of course, when he would find them; we would have a great time exploring (if you know what I mean). So, one day I had a thought that I wanted to give him a sexy greeting card to express my love, but I wanted the greeting card to be sexy and classy. As I researched, I found that there were no sexy, classy greeting cards, but the market was full of pornographic cards. That day, I decided to create a sexy greeting card that would give women a bold voice to express their love and affection.

Fancy: At what point did you think to yourself say “hey, we can make money doing this”?

Saretta: After much feedback from women, I knew that I could make money with Crème cards, but I also knew that I wanted Crème Experience to be more than a company selling sensual greeting cards. I knew that women needed and wanted help with learning how to navigate through marriages and relationships. I knew women (especially African American women) sometimes struggle with telling our men what and how we want to be loved. I also knew that I needed to encourage women and teach them about relationships and that is why I recently produced my first relationship conference, which will be released on YouTube in August of 2019. In this conference, I brought together women of different ages ranging from their forties to mid-seventies. And yes, we talked in detail about relationship issues including sex, finances, etc.

Fancy: What type of concierge services do you all offer?

Saretta: Our dating concierge services are simple. We plan dates for you. This service is for that woman or man who wants to plan something for their mate but does not have the time or the creativity to do it. We have packages where we plan your date and you execute it, or we’ll plan your date and help you execute it. See our website at www.cremeexperience.com for more details.

Fancy: Do you have many male customers?

Saretta: Yes, we do offer cards for a man to give to a woman. We also have male customers as well as a good social media following.

Fancy: What is the biggest obstacle you’ve overcome, whether it be business or personal, and how did you overcome it?

Saretta: One obstacle that I have been able to conquer is stepping out of faith and almost single-handily building Crème Experience. While I still have so far to reach and so many things to do to get to my end state; I am on my way.

Fancy: So we have to ask, please share 1-2 tips for couples to spice up their love lives.

Saretta: One thing that I always tell couples to do is to kiss and to kiss often. Every single time you greet or leave one another it should be sealed with a kiss. A kiss is such a basic tool to show your affection, yet couples don’t use it. So many couples leave their mates in the morning without kissing them to start the day. Many come in from work and don’t greet their mate with a kiss. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST THING THAT YOU DO WHEN YOU SEE YOUR MATE.

Another thing that I tell women, is to do something “weird” and “different” as much as possible. Like, make love in the car at the park… just don’t get caught (lol). Give your man a blow job while he’s driving… just make sure that he can handle it. I could go on and on…

Fancy: Do you ever feel pressure or expectations on yourself or your marriage due to having an intimate brand, like people expect for you all to be a certain way?

Saretta: This is a great question, but the answer is no. My marriage has a good foundation, but that does not mean that it is perfect. I think people are many times misinformed about what marriage is and what it isn’t. Marriage is a body of work. How you craft it and mold it determines whether you have something that is sellable or something that is better left on the shelf. As a result of knowing that my marriage takes work like any other, it allows me to share and relate to others.

Fancy: Where do you hope to see Crème Experience in five years?

Saretta: In five years, I plan for Crème Experience to be a household brand that will enhance relationships through our products and services. I hope to provide events that will not only allow couples to have fun but will help them understand that there are tools and methods that they can utilize to have a successful relationship. We also have an affiliate program that allows others to sell our Crème cards and make some extra income while having fun. I expect this program to grow significantly as we continue to grow. Lastly, I am hoping Crème Experience will be able to support a couple of charities and non-profit organizations that I personally work with now. My hope is that my brand will eventually sponsor some of their events and help fill in the gap where needed.

Fancy: Do you have any upcoming events or projects that you care to share?

Saretta: My first women conference will be available online via YouTube in August 2019. After that, I will produce a couple more conferences and I hope to end 2019 with a couples’ party in December 2019 (more to come).
