Who Shot Ghost?

It’s no secret attributing to this being the final season of the television show ‘Power.’ So far the concluding season has been no holds barred. Many significant characters have been betrayed and killed. Fans of the show tune in each week anticipating the moment one of the well-known characters of the show will face deception or death. Since this is the final season of the show, everybody is vulnerable.
Power is a drama based on James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a drug kingpin with above-average intelligence. He along with his life long friend Tommy Egan built a lucrative drug empire. The unfortunate reality of a drug empire is the fact that they are normally on borrowed time. Ghost is aware of this and his desire is to leave the criminal world and transition to becoming a legitimate entrepreneur. His wife Tasha doesn’t like the idea of Ghost turning legit due to the fact she appreciates how profitable the criminal life is.
In Season 6 Episode 10 titled ‘No One Can Stop Me,’ James St. Patrick is on cloud nine as his new love interest Ramona calls him and tells him to turn on the television. He looks at the news segment and watches the news anchor make the revelation of St. Patrick being selected as the gubernatorial running mate. He is proud of his accomplishment and the official crossover of him going legit and leaving the criminal life behind has officially begun.
Ghost was seeing the ghost as his high school sweetheart, and former mistress Angela Valdes paid him a visit. She congratulated him in reference to his political aspirations and gave him advice on how to approach his new relationship with Ramona.
While in his newly renovated penthouse, St. Patrick has another heavenly visitor as his daughter Raina meets him in her old room. They talk about the fact she lied for her brother and the lie led to her murder. She reveals to her father that it wasn’t her brother, but both he and her mother were the people who taught her how to lie. St. Patrick asks his deceased daughter if he should tell her brother to turn himself in for the murder he committed. Raina responds by telling her father her brother Tariq should have to pay for his mistake.
One final visit from the dead as Ghost comes face to face with his street mentor Kanan. Speaking with a tone of hatred in his voice, Kanan verbalized his low opinion of Ghost. He told him he is a killer who deserves handcuffs and a needle. He also spoke on the fact his estranged wife, son, and best friend all hate him. Ghost counters Kanan as he notes how Kanan had to be taken off the board. He told Kanan he won and nobody can stop it.
During this episode James St. Patrick dished out a load of disrespect. He starts the disrespect tour off by informing his estranged wife about his new love interest, and his plan to move on with Ramona and cut Tasha off for good. He keeps the scissors out as he tells his best friend, Tommy, he has to cut him off too. St. Patrick lectured Councilman Tate on how he always wins and Tate always loses. With an arrogant look in his eyes, he tells Tate nobody can stop him. The visitation at Club Truth continues as he lies to Angela’s sister Paz. He lies and tells her he doesn’t know who killed Angela. Dre drops by Truth and Ghost hits him with a conversation that is saturated with disrespect. He ends the conversation by calling Dre a wannabe gangster and telling Dre he can’t be stopped.
His son Tariq stops by his hotel room as Ghost recommends his son turn himself in. Tariq reminds his father how he promised to protect him and take the charge if necessary. Ghost casually ignores his promise and insists on Tariq turning himself in.
Meanwhile, federal agents are working on building a case against St. Patrick for the murder of Terry Silver. Saxe, a former federal prosecutor, uses shady tactics to collect evidence. It leads to the pursuit of James St. Patrick coming to an end. Detective Rodriguez informs all the people of interest in the decision to end the pursuit of James St. Patrick. The decision infuriates each and every one of them.
In the last scene Saxe, Tommy, Tasha, Tate, Paz, Tariq, and Dre, are all taking their individual paths to Club Truth. They all have bad intentions in their eyes and a loaded gun in their possession. Detective Rodriguez arrives at Truth and she hears a gunshot. Meanwhile, on the roof, Ghost has suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and he is falling off the roof as the midseason finale comes to an end.
The burning question everybody wants the answer to is who shot Ghost? Was it Tasha or Tariq? Did Saxe or Dre sneak up on Ghost? Seeking revenge, did Paz pull the trigger or did Tommy achieve the ultimate vindication by finally gunning his former best friend down? One final theory is the notion of everything that happened was a dream.  The last episode poses many theories and questions, but the definitive answer will be given when Power returns on January 5, 2020.
