Angela “ALove” Lewis, speaker and empowerment coach, is passionate about empowering women to thrive in their lives. Angela is the founder of Hot Wife Society, and I Am a Woman Empowered and uses the networks to provide opportunities to build confidence, coins, and connections through workshops, conferences, personal consultations, and entrepreneurial ventures. Along with her Co-Host P’Angela Jones, Angela records live at 8:00 pm Tuesday nights via their social media platforms for Wife Talk Tuesday. The show provides candid conversations regarding marriage and the unique position wives play in its success. In addition, Angela launched her podcast, KISSS with ALove, in February 2020 to showcase entrepreneurs who are Keeping It Sexy Successful & Saved.
Recently, Angela embarked on a new journey in the publishing field and collaborated with Matthew Santana to birth A&M Productions. Her desire to give women a voice and see them share their personal stories to empower others was the catalyst behind this endeavor. As a visionary and a solutionist, Angela is always looking for ways to help people reach their greatest potential and experience the life of their dreams.
Christina: What is your SwagHer? What makes Angela, Angela?
Angela: My SwagHer is the energy I bring to everything I do. I am real, relatable, and motivational. My energy gives people life! I genuinely want to see people empowered to win, which makes my SwagHer contagious!
Christina: Tell us a little about your podcast, KISSS with ALove.
Angela: The KISSS with ALove Podcast is about keeping it Sexy, Successful & Saved. People can expect to hear tips, tools, and strategies about being confident in who you authentically are, how to pursue your purpose and passion to achieve success in every area of your life, while acknowledging that God is your source. It’s all about thinking bigger, believing bigger, and achieving bigger.
Christina: What are your future plans/goals for A&M Productions?
Angela: A & M Publishing & Productions has set a goal of helping people write the next chapter of their life by using their voices to tell their stories. Whether it’s through an anthology or individual project, we are helping others become authors, and it is totally amazing. We will be launching our very own digital magazine, iShine Magazine, on July 31st in Atlanta, Ga. We have also launched iShine Podcast. Both the magazine and podcast have curated content designed to showcase winners, influencers, entrepreneurs, authors, and artists who impact and influence their community and the world. If you have that IT factor, iShine Magazine, and podcast are for you! Our tagline is Ready. Set. Shine!!! We will also launch iShine Network and iShine Academy by the 4th quarter of 2021. The network will be a Live streaming platform showcasing creative content dedicated to spotlighting positive images, thought-provoking commentary, educational and entertainment platforms. The iShine Academy is designed for entrepreneurs who are ready to elevate their brands through publishing and production outlets. Our signature course, “You Are the Brand,” will enable enterprising individuals to establish themselves as influencers and subject matter experts in their field. We believe everyone was meant to shine, and we want to create the platforms and opportunities for people to do just that.
Christina: What does success mean to you?
Angela: Success is the ability and freedom to do things because you want to, not because you have to.
Christina: What led you to become an empowerment coach?
Angela: I have always coached in some capacity before I even realized that’s what I was doing. Once I figured out that it was a popular profession, I struggled with finding my niche. Motivating and encouraging people comes very naturally to me. However, I recognized that a lot of people would slip back into their old habits because they were waiting on someone else to tell them what to do. They lacked the confidence to make decisions and take control of their own lives. I did an event, “Married or Single, I am a Woman Empowered.” From there, it clicked. I knew I could serve people by helping them overcome the negative self-talk, the self-limiting beliefs, and the self-sabotaging behaviors that kept them from living their best life. Empowerment coaching became my sweet spot.
Christina: What is your favorite quote, and why?
Angela: Actually, my favorite is the whole poem by Marianne Williamson, “Our Deepest Fear.” I love where it says, “as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” Shining our own light is an empowered action. It’s liberating and freeing. It creates a ripple effect. Playing small does not serve us, nor does it serve the world. Greatness is in all of us. We just have to overcome the fear of the power that we truly possess.
Christina: What are three things that people should do to begin their financial freedom journey?
Angela: The first thing is identifying where you’re at and acknowledging your spending habits and any limiting beliefs you have about money. The next thing is to put something in place to pay yourself. The third is to find a vehicle that will help your money grow exponentially.
Christina: Who or what inspires you?
Angela: My daughters inspire me. They are my why my legacy, and my promise.
Christina: Do you have any upcoming events or projects you would like our readers to know about?
Angela: Yes. I have been chosen to speak at Shawn Fair’s 2021 Leadership Experience Tour September 17-19. I am super excited about the opportunity.
Christina: Is there anything else you would like to share?
Angela: We are looking for people to share their stories and business expertise. Books are the new business card. If you are ready to take your brand to the next level, consider writing a book to lend additional credibility to your business and distinguish you as a subject matter expert in your field. Also, anthologies are a great way to leverage the networks of all participating co-authors. Become a visionary author and bring awareness to your platform and your message. We would love to help you!
